Completed Level 1, Day 2 of the 30 Day Shred. I also completed Day 2 of Insanity. Tuesday I pulled a muscle in my upper thigh, and it still hasn’t healed. And this morning I was sulking about it, though, I was still determined to train. So with a little liniment and a bag of ice strapped to my leg with ribbon, I got up and trained (carefully, of course). And on top of that I maintained a healthy diet today:

  • Cascadian Farms cinnamon raisin oatmeal cereal for breakfast.
  • A peanut butter and banana sandwich for my 12:00 snack.
  • Homemade taco salad with turkey meat instead of beef for lunch at 2.
  • Watermelon for my 4:00 snack.
  • Now I’m off to make dinner.

And of course, I’ve stayed hydrated, going above the minimum daily intake of water.

I’d say today was a pretty good one (:

Air squat challenge

The proper activity done a few minutes before eating can encourage food calories to get shuttled into the muscle cells, before it has a chance to get stored as body fat.

* Increases insulin sensitivity and burns some extra calories.

Air squats are the best option out there for a quick workout before meals.

Read more about it in Tim Ferris’s book “4 hour body”.

By rebloging this I accept this challenge, and I will do my best to accomplish it.
